Postdoctoral researcher position

The department of physics and astronomy “Galileo Galilei” at the University of Padova (Italy) invites applications for a postdoctoral position to work with Dr. Alvise Raccanelli on cosmology, with particular focus on galaxy clustering and gravitational waves.

The successful candidate will work within the project ARPE 2022 - Cosmology with Gravitational waves and Large Scale Structure - CosmoGraLSS, funded by the University of Padova.
We seek intellectually ambitious candidates with demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively and independently.

The appointment will be for two years, with starting date 1st October 2022.
The applicant should have obtained a PhD in Astrophysics or a related field plus at least 12 months of postdoctoral research by the starting date.

The cosmology group at the University of Padova, with whom the successful applicant may collaborate, includes also: Sabino Matarrese, Nicola Bartolo, Michele Liguori, Daniele Bertacca and Angelo Ricciardone, plus a number of postdocs and a vibrant group of PhD and masters students.
Dr. Alvise Raccanelli is an active member of Euclid, the SKAO, LISA, the Einstein Telescope and ATLAS.
